Lafayette Central Catholic (24-5) defeated Delphi 6-1 to win the 2A Sectional 37 Monday night. Lucas Gerkey went the distance on the mound fanning eight Oracles and allowed just four hits. Gerkey also was the star at the plate with an RBI single in the third a ringing three run double in the sixth to blow the game open. Isaiah Hopkins' RBI single in the fifth gave the Knights a 2-1 lead. Hudson Gutwein added a sacrifice fly in the seventh. The Knights will now face Oak Hill in the Regional next Saturday
